Elyès Jouini is professor of economics at the University of Paris Dauphine-PSL and responsible for the UNESCO Chair “Women and Science”, after having been professor of mathematics there. He was also, for 10 years, holder of the Chair “Individuals facing risk”.

His research is at the interface between mathematics, economics and finance and focuses on questions related to individual and collective decision-making and to interactions between decision-makers, particularly via market mechanisms.

He has published around 100 articles in the best international academic journals, particularly in economics, mathematics and finance, including Science, Proceedings of the National Academy of Sciences (PNAS), Review of Economic Studies, Review of Financial Studies, Management Science, Journal of Economic Theory, Journal of Financial and Quantitative Analysis, Review of Finance, Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control, Journal of Mathematical Economics, etc.

He has also edited and co-edited several books.
